All members are required to fill out the MHSRA membership form and Minor Release (located under the membership forms tab) along with the National membership form and Minor release located on the NHSRA web site. I have included several different links under the membership forms tab to help assist with completing your online membership and uploading forms. We look forward to to seeing all of our old and new members this rodeo season.

NHSRA Member Management Portal:  

- If you are a RENEWING NHSRA member, please DO NOT create a new account, sign in with your provided username [first time logging in? see email].  If you were a National Junior High member then you are RENEWING as a High School Member.
- If you are a NEW member to NHSRA: please register a new account on the NHSRA Member Management Portal.

If you experience any problems with the new membership portal there should be a help button available to guide you through the process. If you were a member of NHSRA and did not receive an email, please let us know.

 

MAIL FORMS and PAYMENT:  Membership fees for 2019-2020 season will be $150.  $124 is for NHSRA membership, which is NOT optional, and $26 is for MHSRA membership.  Membership is currently open and must be completed online and mailed in to the Secretary before the deadline for the first rodeo you plan to enter.  ex:  Rodeo 1 deadline is 9/3.

  the MHSRA also needs to include with membership forms, a copy of last
  school year's (2018-2019) transcript showing 5 passing credits,  promotion to the next grade & grading scale.
- Any contestant that did ride at the State Finals Rodeo (High School or Jr. High 8th grade), does not need to send in another transcript. 
- Please make all checks payable to: MHSRA  (including payment for NHSRA)

Adult memberships are $20 per adult & must be submitted with an adult membership form.  An Adult membership year runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.  

  
ONLINE ENTRIES:
  Please note:  The first rodeo entry will be opened as soon as possible. We anticipate the online form and payment to be ready around 8/26/19, which should give everyone plenty of time to get your entry in.  You will receive a confirmation number.  This number will be your receipt/proof of entry and full payment. Check the rodeo schedule for all "deadline" dates.  The deadline time will always be midnight.  Any online entry completed and paid in full after this date and time will be considered a "late entry".  The late entry fee is $25 and should be added to your total entry payment.  A late entry is only accepted for the following three (3) days after a rodeo deadline.  The third day at midnight will officially close that rodeo from any further entries.  NOTE:  The online entry form will NOT be available after this date.

***You MUST be a National and State member before you enter your FIRST rodeo!  Make sure to get this completed online and mail the forms in to me before the deadline of the first rodeo you enter. I'm not positive, but you may have to complete your membership first in order to enter online.  Better to be safe than sorry... so go ahead and get this portion completed.  (see Membership notes above)

 Draws are posted exactly 1 week & 1 day AFTER the submission deadline. 

MEETING 2019-2020 Season:
General Membership meeting will be held August 13, 2019 7:00 pm @ The Cattlemen's Assoc in Jackson, MS.  All are encouraged to attend. 

DRESS CODE:

All contestants MUST be in full western attire(long-sleeved button down shirt w/sleeves rolled down and shirt tucked in, jeans, cowboy hat and boots) ONE HOUR prior to the rodeo performance and during all slack. This also includes contestants who are entered in the rodeo but not competing during that particular performance/slack. If you are on the rodeo grounds during this time you MUST be dressed. Back numbers must be worn ON YOUR BACK at all times while on the rodeo grounds. This include during the Jr High rodeo also. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! If you are found in violation of this rule you will be disqualified.  Contestants and Parents a copy of our rules and regulations is posted on the website under the membership forms tab. Also a copy with several other important forms, insurance card, rule book etc. was given to each contestant with their back numbers.  I would HIGHLY recommend that each contestant and parent take the time to read over these forms.
