Welcome to Mississippi High School Rodeo Association

About Us

The Mississippi High School Rodeo Association was founded in 1967. We were one of the early adopters who signed up with the National High School Rodeo Association which was founded several years prior. The first state finals was held that inaugural year and has been held each year thereafter. We are dedicated to promoting the sport of rodeo and the high school youth who love it. Like other high school sports, students must first focus on their education and maintaining satisfactory grades.

The season generally runs concurrent with a normal school year.  Rodeos being around the first of September and continue through the state finals held the first part of June each year.  If a member reaches the coveted top 4 in each event, they represent our state at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Lincoln, Nebraska July 19-25, 2020.   Our 2019-2020 Student Officers are:  President - Kaitlyn Holland; Vice President - Neely Grover; Secretary - Lauren Booty; and Queen- Merritt McLemore

Better yet, see us in person at a rodeo!

We love our members, but we don't keep normal business hours.  We all have "real' jobs, too.  But, don't let that hold you back.  Call, email, text or follow us on Facebook if you need anything.  We will get back to you as soon as possible!
