2021 STATE FINALS INFO:
Dates: State Finals will be held June 1-5th, 2021 An official schedule will be published, but this should help you begin scheduling.

Tuesday is tough enough to wear pink.
Wed. is grey (Cowboys & Indians) for melanoma awareness (common in cowboys & Indians, along with grey horses).
Thurs. is blue for our heroes (back the blue/thin blue line).
Fri. is green for traumatic brain injury.
Short Go Saturday is patriotic red.
** Also note: The NHSRA Patch Policy will be enforced at State Finals. Read your rule book and don't get disqualified for clothing and tack which doesn't meet the rules & regulations. Bring any questions to the mandatory meeting for clarification.

Requirements to Enter: Any member who has:
- entered/competed in 5 or more rodeos,
- paid their raffle tickets money,
- submits an official school transcript and is passing their subjects/advanced to the next grade; and
- paid their sponsorship money can enter State Finals.
SPONSORSHIPS: Each contestant is responsible for selling a minimum of $200 in sponsorships. The sponsor form is posted under "Forms & Links" on this web site. Note the deadline to turn this in and ADDRESS WHICH SHOULD BE USED. It is located on the form. If your sponsor is going to need a banner printed get it in EARLY!!
The Top 4 contestants in each event will represent our state at the NHSFR July 18-24, 2021 in Lincoln, NE (Lancaster Event Center) Make sure both parents are present (or legal guardian) and bring a check book. You will need to write at least 3 checks (camp, stall and jackpot entry at a minimum).
Online Entry: The entry will be up around the 25th of April. Enter on or before May 4th the avoid the late fee. May 5-7th a late fee will be added to your entry. Entries will CLOSE May 7th at Midnight!!

Stalls & RV: The location has lots of stalls and camp spots. The facility will be handling the assignment of both and payment of RV's. They will NOT begin assigning these spots until the afternoon of Monday, May 31st. When the facility provides us with a time, we will update you. A copy of your coggins papers should be emailed to the secretary or a copy brought to check in for all horses coming on the grounds. A health certificate is not needed.
** The STALL, ARMBAND, GROUNDS & SECURITY FEE ORDER FORM IS POSTED ON FB & UNDER FORMS AND LINKS. DEADLINE TO GET THESE ORDERS IN IS THE 26TH OF MAY.
Queen Contestants: Interested contestants will need to enter this event, when you enter the rodeo. Generally, the Queens Contest starts on Monday, May 31st. Misty Smith is our coordinator. She will be contacting everyone with the final agenda.
Scholarships: Any scholarship forms posted on this web page, under the Scholarship tab, will be turned in on Tuesday at the Mandatory Check In.
Rodeo Prom: Your student President, Merrit McLemore, is planning a rodeo prom. It will tentatively be held Monday night (5/31 from 9 pm - Midnight). More information regarding time and location in Hattiesburg soon! Keep an eye on your mailbox.
