Entry Information 2020
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING – NO EXCEPTIONS**
ONLINE ENTRIES FOR THE STATE FINALS will OPEN Monday, June 1, 2020 and CLOSE Saturday, June 6, 2020 at midnight.
There are 3 entry items listed on the Online Entry page.
1) MHSRA State Finals Entry
a. This includes all the normal events in addition to the Queen’s Contest entry and Security fee.
b. Check the box for each event you wish to enter.
c. SECURITY FEE: EACH CONTESTANT NEEDS TO CHECK THE Security Fee box! This is a required fee for each contestant. It helps to cover the cost of extra security for the week of finals.
d. Do not move the “Any Perf” bar!! If you have graduation during Finals, or need to let me know something, please put it in the comment/notes to the secretary section.
2) MS Finals-Stall, Camp, Other Entry
a. This is where you will purchase camp sites, stalls, admission armbands for the week and pay for your grounds fee.
b. Stalls will come with 1 bag of shavings included. You may bring your own additional bags of shavings or purchase on-site, if you need more.
c. There are no discounted stalls for “tack and/or feed only”.
d. GROUNDS FEE: If you are hauling in and out daily and ARE NOT STALLING A HORSE, you must pay a Grounds Fee for EACH HORSE! This fee applies to every horse including Hazing, Backup and Competing horses.
e. The additional admin fee of $15 automatically posts and this will be refunded to you as we cannot get the programming change made quick enough to accommodate the purchase deadline. Our apologies in advance regarding this inconvenience.
3) MS JUNIOR HIGH RCH Finals Entry
a. This entry if for the JUNIOR HIGH Reined Cow Horse contestants ONLY! The entry fee is $40, plus the $15 admin fee.
b. Your class will be the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2020. The daily agenda will have your start time listed on it.
THE DRAW WILL BE POSTED ON THE web site no later than Wednesday, June 10th, 2020.
· The stall and camp site assignments will be published in advance, too.
ENTRY FEES WILL BE $50.00 PER EVENT, $70.00 FOR CUTTING, $70.00 FOR REINED COW HORSE, $15.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE, $15.00 GROUNDS FEE FOR A HORSE BROUGHT ONTO FAIRGROUNDS AND A $10.00 SECURITY FEE. IF YOU ENTER THE LAST 3 DAYS THE ENTRY IS OPEN… YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $25 LATE FEE!! PLEASE ENTER EARLY TO AVOID THIS FEE BEING ASSIGNED. IF YOU ARE ASSESSED A $25 LATE FEE, WE WILL PROCESS A REFUND AS WE ARE ON A SHORT TURN AROUND TIME.
MANDATORY ***HORSE GROUNDS FEE AND SECURITY FEE: For each horse that you will be bringing on the grounds for the week of the State Finals Rodeo you are required to pay a $15.00 grounds fee. This fee applies to every horse including Hazing, Practicing and Competing horses.
NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST: Each horse brought on the grounds MUST have a current negative coggins. Email a COPY of each horses current negative coggins test to email@example.com the 6/6/20 entry & stall deadline. (EXPIRED COGGINS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). If you do not email a copy, you will need to bring the original coggins with you at check in. Please have your original coggins ready upon arrival. It’s been a crazy year, so don’t rule out the State being here to check them. Otherwise, your horse will not be allowed on the grounds for the entire event.
GRADE TRANSCRIPTS – Transcripts with all of the 2019-2020 grades on them MUST be MAILED DIRECTLY FROM THE SCHOOL. It must be signed by the PRINCIPAL AND SCHOOL SEAL OR STAMP ON IT. Report Cards are not accepted! The School’s Grading Scale MUST be included. ONLY TRANSCRIPTS MAILED DIRECTLY FROM SCHOOL WILL BE ACCEPTED. Inform your school office of this need now and follow up with them to make sure they have mailed it. Have your school transcript mailed to:

RULE BOOK: KNOW YOUR RULE BOOK!!!!The NHSRA Rule Book will be followed. Full Western Attire is required of all contestants at every performance, whether you are competing or not. Anyone helping must be in full western attire also. CINCH BACK NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. You will be given NEW STATE FINALS back numbers at check in.
AGENDA: A FULL AGENDA will be released very soon. In the meantime, here are some cliff notes.
~ The Cutting and RCH will have two go’s on Wednesday, June 17th.
~ Mandatory Check-in will be Wednesday evening.
~ The rodeo will have a morning performance and an evening performance on Thursday and Friday. The draw on Thursday will be “REVERSED” on Friday. EX: If you draw up in your event Thursday am; then you will go again in that event Friday pm. If you draw up in your event Thursday pm; then you will go again in that event Friday am.
~ The short go will start Saturday morning with the cutting and RCH (HS & JR high). The rodeo short go will be after lunch.
~ No prom will be held.
~ Be prepared to complete ALL National HS FINALS Rodeo paperwork following the rodeo Saturday evening. All paperwork must to AT the National office on Tuesday, June 23rd!!
