REMINDER: (taken from NHSRA rulebook, page 36-37)

"Any contestant or member will be disqualified from the rodeo,  NHSRA Event or other function for any of the following offenses. If they are disqualified for any of these offenses, they will be disqualified from all events or other participation in the rodeo, NHSRA Event or other function.

 a. CONDUCT:  (1) Having any association with alcoholic beverages, vaping, marijuana products, tobacco products, and narcotic or other non-medicinal drugs while in attendance at any approved High School Rodeo, whether at a motel or on rodeo grounds or going to or from the rodeo or at any rodeo function. Contestants will be disqualified for the use of those products.

 (3) Conduct or speech of any kind detrimental to the best interests of the National High School Rodeo Association or the sport of rodeo while in attendance or coming to and  going home from a rodeo. "  BE MINDFUL OF THESE RULES.

   ONLINE ENTRY REMINDERS:

TEAM ROPERS:  If your partner enters you in team roping and you do not enter other events, you still must go online and pay your rodeo (admin) fee.  Simply go to the rodeo you need to pay and go down to the "Pay" option and click.  You will be charged the $20 rodeo fee and pay through PayPal.   From this point forward, if you do not do this, I will have to charge a late fee when I collect your rodeo (admin) fee later.

Also, when entering rodeos, be sure to check the box beside the event you are entering and make sure the amount of fees you are paying is correct for the number of events you are entering (including the rodeo fee and late fee, if applicable) before you click "Pay".   This will ensure you are entered in the events you want to be and you've paid the correct amount.

After you've paid your fees, do not exit out of the system before you email yourself an entry receipt (when you do, the secretary receives one too.  When you don't, I don't have anything verifying you are entered).  This is your confirmation that you've been entered correctly and is also helpful for me.

Also, each contestant gets 7 requests for the year.  If your traveling partner or team roping partner makes a request, that also counts as a request for you.  Once you've used your 7 requests, you must make a request in writing 2 weeks before the rodeo for the board to consider.

We will be offering Shooting Sports competitions in the spring (light rifle and trap).  The schedule is being finalized and will be posted in the next few weeks.  If you are interested in participating, please contact the secretary so we can have an idea of how many contestants we may have.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

MEMBERSHIP PACKETS

Remember to pick up your packet from the Secretary at your first rodeo.   This packet contains your back number, NHSRA rulebook, MHSRA Rules & Regulations, and your CASH RAFFLE TICKETS.

IT IS THE CONTESTANT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO READ THE NHSRA RULEBOOK AND THE MHSRA REGULATIONS PAGE PROVIDED IN YOUR MEMBER PACKET AND BE FAMILIAR WITH ALL RULES CONTAINED IN THEM

RAFFLE TICKETS ARE DUE AT BROOKHAVEN IN JANUARY. If you are not going to make it to this rodeo you need to mail in, send with someone OR PayPal the money BEFORE January *!!  If you miss the deadline, you will be pulled out of the following rodeo draw until full payment is made.

RODEO CONTESTANTS, CUTTERS, & RCH WILL ALL ENTER THROUGH THE ONLINE ENTRY LINK.  SEE THE ONLINE ENTRY LINK TAB AND MEMBERSHIP INFO TAB FOR INSTRUCTIONS

LATE FEES:  A $25 late fee will be added to all entries submitted up to 4 days after the entry deadline.  After the late fee deadline expires, online entries will close and you cannot enter the rodeo online.  If you still wish to enter the rodeo, there will be a Last Chance Late Fee of $400 imposed.  You must contact the secretary directly to enter under this exception.  You cannot request to be up on a certain night.  The deadline for entering under the Last Chance Late Fee is the Wednesday of the week of the rodeo.

REQUESTS:  The 2022-2023 season will allow a contestant to make 7 rodeo night requests. The 7 requests now apply to Friday and Saturday nights.  Please do not move the arrow from the middle (Any Perf), unless you are actually needing a request.  Keep in mind that if you are in Team Roping and make a request, it will count as a request for both team members.  If a contestant draws all events on one night (when a night is not specified during the online entry process; aka: Any Perf is selected), this IS NOT A REQUEST.

If you need an additional request, you will need to send a letter of explanation to the board at least two weeks before the entry deadline for that rodeo.

NOTES TO SECRETARY

You can make a note during Online Entry to let the secretary know who your "Traveling Partner" is.  This is NOT to be up the same night as your friends, but it is a true traveling situation for siblings, shared horses, or if this person is your actual ride to the event.

You may also make a note to the secretary if you would like all of your events on the same night or if you would like to split your events (however, a request to compete in a certain event on a certain night will be counted as one of your 7 requests).
