5/15/20 Plans for the 2020 MHSRA State Finals are currently underway. The board of directors are working diligently to make the hopes of having a state finals, in this year of
unprecedented events and major uncertainty, a reality for our members.
The finals will not be held in Hattiesburg as originally planned, nor will they be held June 2-7. Until county facilities are allowed to lift restrictions on events and the size of
gatherings that are allowed, we cannot definitively give you the location or date of the finals, as that may change, depending on the recommended guidelines that will be
handed down by state government. What we can tell you is that tentatively we are hoping to hold our finals the third week of June in Purvis. Plans at this time are to hold the finals over a 3-day period, with morning and evening performances for Rounds 1 & 2 and the Short Round performance the following day. Awards presentation will follow the Short Round at a specified time.
We are also working to develop a plan for the Queen's Contest, Cutting and Reined Cow Horse events. At this time, we are not sure if they will be held the third week of June or at another time and location. We will determine that as soon as possible.
Entry information, Senior Scholarship information, and a schedule of events will be made available once host facilities lift restrictions and give final permission to hold our event in full compliance with the recommended guidelines.
Junior High State Finals are not planned to be held in conjunction with our High School State Finals, but the Junior High Board is currently working to plan their state finals, too.
Please check the Junior High Facebook page and website for updates.
At this time we are not certain what the “Spring Fundraiser” requirement for contestants will be, as ads for programs or arena signage might not feasible. Please check FB and the website concerning this matter frequently. If you haven't "Liked" and "Followed our page please do so now.
All entry fees that were paid for any rodeos that were canceled will be refunded at a later time.
SENIORS, please turn in 2 photos to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible in order to be included in the Senior 2020 recognition.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHECK THE WEBPAGE AND FACEBOOK PAGE

We will be working under an abbreviated and fast-approaching deadline to make this finals happen and updates

He enters the state finals with James. James has 40 points as a heeler. They now have a total of 90 team points to start the finals. www.nhsra.com
